About Rakhi Celebrations 2024
The Rakhi celebration organized by the Department of CSE - Data Science in association with the Entertainment Club was a resounding success. The event not only celebrated a cherished cultural festival but also strengthened the bonds of camaraderie among students. The initiative of boy students gifting mehendi to girl students was especially appreciated, adding a unique and memorable element to the celebration.
Event Highlights:
1. Rakhi Tying Ceremony
The celebration commenced with the traditional Rakhi tying ceremony, where girl students tied
Rakhi (a sacred thread) around the wrists of boy students. This symbolic act represented the bond
of protection and care between the students, emphasizing the importance of brotherhood and
sisterhood in the campus community.
2. Mehendi Gifting
A unique and heartwarming feature of this year's celebration was the boy students gifting
mehendi (henna) to all the girl students. This gesture not only added a creative and festive touch
to the event but also highlighted the inclusive and respectful atmosphere within the department.
